Fur the 'More returned home to Baltimore, Maryland for 2026
Posted by EberraWolf on Thu 2 Apr 2026 - 21:03Fur the ‘More 2026: Homecoming drew furs from the Mid-Atlantic back to its birthplace of Baltimore, Maryland, last weekend. Overlapping with Texas Furry Fiesta, the convention was held from March 27 to 29 for a short, three-day convention. 1,917—nearly two thousand people—showed up, according to the convention.
Founded in 2012 with its inaugural event in taking place in 2013, Fur the ‘More began in the Hunt Valley suburb of Baltimore, and moved to venues in northern Virginia from 2015 to 2025. (A virtual convention was held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, like nearly every furry convention that year.) "As attendance grew, the convention quickly became too large for its original hotel, while still being too new to attract bids from other Baltimore-area venues," Kitra told Flayrah in an email.

BetaEtaDelota steps down as Bewhiskered Guest of Honor due to Anti-ABDL campaign
Posted by Sonious on Wed 4 Mar 2026 - 19:20
On February 24th, the North Carolina based furry convention Bewhiskered announced that furry YouTube content creator Beta Eta Delota would no longer be present as a Guest of Honor for their 2026 gathering.
We want to let you know that Beta Eta Delota will not be appearing as a Guest of Honor this year at Bewhiskered 2026. This decision was not made lightly and was made in coordination with Beta to ensure our ability to host a smooth and safe convention.
As many of you know, Beta has been the subject of a harassment campaign for the last several months. That campaign has unfortunately impacted us as well and generated more than one safety concern for the convention. The unfortunate end result, that we both agree on, is that if Beta were to attend, we are unsure we could offer him the quality experience that a Guest of Honor deserves and would have very real safety concerns to prepare for.
We have been and will continue to be a kink-friendly organization and will always do our best to uphold our values. This will be reflected by the panels we select, the dealers we invite, and more. - North Carolina Anthro Society
This announcement comes in the midst of an ongoing controversy in furry content creator spaces revolving around anti-ABDL furries from TikTok and pro-kink furries from YouTube, which has now bled into real world consequences at physical gatherings.
Exclusive: How Anthro New England Plans to Expand
Posted by EberraWolf on Sun 15 Feb 2026 - 13:11Update 4/18/26: The convention announced their expansion plans in more detail in mid April 2026 here

When Anthro New England had its fourth year in the Westin Boston Seaport Hotel last month, it was obvious to attendees that it had outgrown the space that it occupies. When moving into the Westin in 2023, after being in the Boston Park Plaza hotel for a few years, there were 3,548 attendees. By 2026 they have more than doubled that, to 7,284. All the event space in the Westin had already been contracted out in 2023, and there isn’t additional space to grow in the hotel. Yet the convention needs more of it.
At the end of closing ceremonies, the convention hinted at expansion, telling attendees to wait for an announcement later in the year. Flayrah has been given exclusive information, in a series of interviews, on the plans the convention has for the future of the convention. While not finalized, it gives a glimpse into negotiations and plans often kept hidden from public view by organizers.

In Bringing the West East, ANE 2026 Crowds Under the Stampede of So Many Furries

Boston saw thousands of furs congregate earlier this month, some donning cowboy hats, others putting on cowboy boots and throwing on ponchos. Anthro New England 2026: It’s a Western! brought a massive 7,284 attendees to the convention this year, pushing the square footage to its limit and outside the range of comfortable.
Masking requirements were relaxed this year. Only the dealer’s den, art show room, and gaming rooms were masks mandatory. In past years, the policy was that all convention spaces required a mask to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne diseases. Like last year, though, face masks were given out at the safety office, and Covid Safe Furs distributed N95 masks and tests on Thursday for those needing them.
ANE was once again bookended by the Hanover Insurance Group’s annual ‘Ignite’ conference and Mathworks’ Sales Kickoff. On Thursday, I spoke to a Hanover employee named Nancy, who noted that more furries were arriving on Wednesday evening as compared to last year, an indication that the convention was growing massively.
Anthro New England to cap fursuit photo, requests line control staff in face of continued growth

Anthro New England will be capping the fursuit photo and has been in need of staffers to control lines. Announced the other night on a new page on their website, the convention said the photo will be capped to 800 fursuiters and be moved to Friday instead of the traditional Saturday. Throughout the past few weeks, the convention has also repeatedly asked for staffers, especially ones to work in line control.
MFF Prohibits 'Tactical' Gear In Response To ICE Presence, Attendee Feedback

(Photo by Coastal Kangaroo, via Furtrack.)Midwest FurFest 2025 kicks off this week, and many furs are understandably concerned about the presence of federal immigration agents so close to the convention. The notorious Broadview Detention Center is just over seven and a half miles from the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, that MFF has called home since 2019.
MFF has been in the town of Rosemont, IL, for a decade and a half, which is a straight shot north from Broadview, IL. Anti-immigrant operations in the Chicago metro area are still ongoing, and the Chicago Tribune has written a great summary on what's been happening these last few months regarding actions taken.
MFF's PR director Kuna declined to share if the convention has a plan to respond to the possible presence of federal immigration officers in the area. The likelihood of that happening is low, though.
Traveling to the Midnight Dimension - Furpocalypse 2025
Posted by EberraWolf on Sun 9 Nov 2025 - 16:51

Furpocalypse Presents: The Midnight Dimension, the theme for this year, is an homage to the legendary CBS anthology series The Twilight Zone from 1959. Across the convention space were graphics inspired by the show’s distinct imagery, drawn by artists and guests of honor Hoosier Steyn and Clyde K. In the hotel’s restaurant, episodes from the show played on televisions; on the main event stage, a white door, emblematic of The Twilight Zone’s opening sequence, had been placed at the rear and brightly lit.
Once again raising money for Q+, Furpocalypse attendees pulled together $18,000 for the LGBTQ+ youth support organization. This is the fourth year in a row that the charity has been the beneficiary of the con.
The Colorado-based art group Animal Art Crimes returned to Furpocalypse with a multi-night popup in the underground parking garage of the hotel, sanctioned by the convention. During the charity auction, members painted on the white door, theatrically avoiding a black cat ‘hotel manager’ with a faux door made of cardboard. (The real door raised $1,800, consisting of a tenth of the total amount to Q+.)
Update 11/10 - Previous version noted 870 fursuit parade participants, it was 970 instead.

Furrydelphia returns in 2025 with a new night market and newfound financial stability

More than 3,000 furries descended on Philadelphia, PA, this weekend for Furrydelphia 2025. (Eberra Wolf)
3,777 furries came out to Center City in Philadelphia this weekend for the ninth annual Furrydelphia. Held again in the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown hotel, this year’s theme was ‘Hoagiecon’, a spin on the east coast convenience store chain Wawa’s annual Hoagiefest.
MAJIC Records, a BIPoC music collective, was the Guest of Honor at this year’s Furrydelphia. Consisting of BlackMajic, Jaylaflame, Hidama, TheKitoDiet, FlyToTheNight, Gozi, and friends, it was started by BlackMagic at Midwest FurFest in 2021. MAJIC Records also helps run Digital Revolution Festival (DigiFest), a musical event held at various furry conventions.
At their Saturday morning panel, BlackMajic and other members recalled their history in the furry fandom and how they ended up joining MAGIC Records. Jaylaflame, for instance, told the story of how he and BlackMajic met on a basketball court when they were pre-tweens and later became furries. They also hosted a plug-n-play session Friday morning where artists shared their music, gave feedback, and networked.
Last-minute, an additional Guest of Honor was added: TEMG, a young artist and game developer, who came with his family.
