BetaEtaDelota steps down as Bewhiskered Guest of Honor due to Anti-ABDL campaign

On February 24th, the North Carolina based furry convention Bewhiskered announced that furry YouTube content creator Beta Eta Delota would no longer be present as a Guest of Honor for their 2026 gathering.

We want to let you know that Beta Eta Delota will not be appearing as a Guest of Honor this year at Bewhiskered 2026. This decision was not made lightly and was made in coordination with Beta to ensure our ability to host a smooth and safe convention.

As many of you know, Beta has been the subject of a harassment campaign for the last several months. That campaign has unfortunately impacted us as well and generated more than one safety concern for the convention. The unfortunate end result, that we both agree on, is that if Beta were to attend, we are unsure we could offer him the quality experience that a Guest of Honor deserves and would have very real safety concerns to prepare for.

This announcement comes in the midst of an ongoing controversy in furry content creator spaces revolving around anti-ABDL furries from TikTok and pro-kink furries from YouTube, which has now bled into real world consequences at physical gatherings.

The stink

Peeby, a content creator leaked information about BetaEtaDelota’s ABDL leanings in a video, bringing forth art and photos of Beta from what Beta claimed was a locked 18+ group, but Peeby claims was publicly available on the internet.

As a result of this post, furries who are anti-adult baby have been targeting Beta Eta Delota for this behavior. Peeby has distanced himself from this behavior by the internet and took down that original post that contained the information due to the outcome of the content which has caused, Peeby alleges, he himself to be targeted by more pro-kink and Beta fans trying to get him removed from conventions such as Anthro New England.

I'm not a violent person, and I would never waste my time on someone like that. I've had to delete my post on YouTube because I kept getting threats from Baby Furs telling me to either not be on the planet anymore or leave the fandom. I've been threatened to be sued. I've had people so upset with me that they've called me a liar about [my story of] my sexual assault [...] at MFF because of this.

However, in spite of the original catalyst publicly trying to back down from the controversy, others who make it more their mission to cleanse adult baby from the fandom such as Catamarasnep continued on the offensive and applied pressure to Bewhiskered about Beta Eta Delota.

The mixed emotions of his withdrawal

Beta has made two separate statements on social media that point to the complexity of the agreed withdrawal. On the site formally known as Twitter, Beta stated that he took the agreement due to seeing it as the best means of keeping the gathering safe from more feared aggression of those out to oust him.

Sadly this is the best route with regards to harassment, more specifically threats against the safety of myself and others at Bewhiskered. That statement confirmed that the decision of him stepping down from the Guest of Honor position was mutual. However, four days later, Beta released a separate statement on BlueSky of regrets on a decision that he seemed to indicate that he felt pressured to take at that moment, and his concerns on how this action can embolden people who act in bad faith.

When I was offered the position of being the Guest of Honor for Bewhiskered 2026, I informed the convention about the active anti-babyfur campaign lead by Catamarasnep / BigOunceFauxFactory made against myself and others. In return, I was reassured that this wouldn’t be a problem, the convention is supportive of babyfurs, and Bewhiskered was still happy to have me as their Guest of Honor.

Catamara has had a history of creating campaigns and “protests” against babyfurs / ABDL furries for 4+ years now, with many instances of stalking, harassment, doxxing, and safety threats resulting from them towards those targeted.

In early December 2025 I had announced that I would be the Guest of Honor for Bewhiskered the following year. Not long after the announcement, Catamara targeted Bewhiskered, resulting in many threats made towards myself and the convention. Regardless of my efforts and as a result of the threats and harassment from this campaign, Bewhiskered continued without me as their Guest of Honor for this year. I am disappointed with how everything unfolded and I feel like I didn’t have a say through the process.

I feel like furry conventions should not be bending a knee to hateful people when it is their responsibility to ensure a safe space for the community. I am also concerned with the precedent that these actions will set for how the furry community handles internet harassment to the extent that it has gone and if the community will be able to maintain its safe space of self-expression for the years it has. It is important for us as a community to give input and critique conventions on their decisions, but understand that these conventions are run by volunteers with real people behind them. There is no tolerance for harassment, bullying or sending threats of any kind to anyone.
