Yay! Time for another episode of digging up positivity! April sure has been a big month for the furry fandom, and we have some lovely animation news as well. Plus an interview with a really awesome furry from Wales, who often does amazing things for not just the local community but for charity as well! But first, the charities!

During SloFluffCon, I interviewed Uncle Kage, and we had Nordic FuzzCon, where I will give you a sneak peak behind the curtains of the circus together with the leader of the charity! This and more, but first, the charities!

Hello everybody and welcome to the first episode in 2026 of Digging Up Positivity!

In this episode we have quite some animation news, an interview of the man behind The Friendliest Skunk, a really awesome video game, and of course a ton of charities by our wonderfully weird fandom!

Oh man, 2025 surely has been a year. But, a lot of critters from the furry fandom has been doing their otterly best to make this world a better place. Some events with charities are known far and wide like our virtual friends from Furality raising over $100,000 dollars for the Center, or the various teams raising money for ALS in honour of Dogbomb. However there are so many more, from Chile to Taiwan, from South Africa to Belgium. Together with a small team of diggers and critters who submitted charities we ventured all over the world to check them out, resulting in this years’ Furry Charity Index.

Before we start venturing all over the world, let’s start with a few numbers I kept on being asked for. What kind of causes do we as a fandom support? We have a couple of main categories:

• 15.09% went to LGBTQ related charities
• 29.07% went to humanitarian efforts
• 55.84% went to animal welfare charities

And the final numbers with the difference from last year I will share with you after this wonderful list. Together with the people who made all of this possible. But for now, come travel with us!

Welcome to a new episode of Digging Up Positivity! We are already over halfway of this year, and despite of all the [gestures] everything we still continue to try to make the world a better place. In this episode:

As the sleepers awakened from their slumber in early June, a total virtual attendance count of 26,405 and a total of $109,000 was raised for the returning charity, The Center of Orlando Florida, at the 2025 virtual gathering of Furality. The sleep in the ninth iteration of the gathering was not always an easy one, with a VR Chat system outage during Saturday’s peak times. But in relation to the prior year’s experience, things actually went much smoother for the event itself. It continues to be a wonderful experience for people who like to explore new worlds, and the revel creation of their fellow eccentric dreamers.

This year we’ll go over the worlds and environment and their purposes, and other general thoughts now that I have been to two and can see the foundation and standard layout. Preliminary thoughts about Virtual conventions in general and their comparisons to real world gatherings can be found in last year’s Umbra review found at this link which remain generally unchanged in this passing year.

Welcome to the sixth [sic] episode of Digging Up Positivity this year starting a month where we are proud of our fandom and our community! And to celebrate this wonderful colourful month, I am giving away one of these T-shirts, details at the end of the video! Also, we have an interview with one of the driving forces behind MeetsFurYou: PolkaSpots and of course we have a bunch of charities, exciting news from the games industry and other uplifting news, but first, lets go to the charities of last month!

Welcome to the April[sic - should have been March] edition of Digging Up Positivity, this month:

But first, lets start it with our charity update!

Anthro New England, or ANE, held its tenth annual convention, and its ninth in-person one, at the Westin Boston Seaport District hotel in Boston, Massachusetts in mid January. The convention was sandwiched between the Hanover Insurance Group’s National Sales Meeting (ended Thursday) and a MathWorks event (Monday onwards).

Fresh back from a convention, still dealing with the concrud, but welcome all to an amazing packed episode filled with good news from the furry fandom! Covering not just the charity numbers with a highlight of Nordic Fuzzcon, but also a lovely interview with Chester the Geroo. I mean, not only does this little critter have the voice of an angel... he sings operas— in fursuit. But first the charities!

Hello! And welcome to the January edition of Digging Up Positivity, from this year on we are aiming to have a new video every first Saturday of the month featuring amazing charity results from the furry fandom, wholesome animation and animal news and a special guest! This month we are having an interview with Maying from Maying Fantasy Creations.

And trust me when I say, we can use some positive news this year, now more than ever. So here are the charities, starting with a little update from last year from the Furry Charity Index.

After tallying up the charities collected by conventions and streams for 2024, furriers came together to raise $1,953,149.29. The breakdown for the causes can be found below:

• LGBTQ+ Welfare: $299,619.71 (15.34%)
• Animal Welfare: $1,108,623.81 (56.76%)
• General Humanitarian Welfare: $544,905.77 (27.9%)
