Fur the 'More returned home to Baltimore, Maryland for 2026
Fur the ‘More 2026: Homecoming drew furs from the Mid-Atlantic back to its birthplace of Baltimore, Maryland, last weekend. Overlapping with Texas Furry Fiesta, the convention was held from March 27 to 29 for a short, three-day convention. 1,917—nearly two thousand people—showed up, according to the convention.
Founded in 2012 with its inaugural event in taking place in 2013, Fur the ‘More began in the Hunt Valley suburb of Baltimore, and moved to venues in northern Virginia from 2015 to 2025. (A virtual convention was held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, like nearly every furry convention that year.) "As attendance grew, the convention quickly became too large for its original hotel, while still being too new to attract bids from other Baltimore-area venues," Kitra told Flayrah in an email.
This year "was about coming home to Baltimore, returning to where the event began and where we want it to be rooted going forward," Kitra added. Despite such a long time in Virginia, it kept its Edgar Allen Poe-themed name and raven mascot. The convention pulls furs from the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region.
Artist and sculptor JenKiwi was the featured guest of honor, and voice actress Krystal LaPorte was a special guest. Jen has been in the furry fandom for over two decades and attended the first Fur the ‘More, according to the convention. LaPorte, while also being a criminal defense lawyer, is a voice actor who has worked on several anime dubs and voiced Cherri Bomb in the Hazbin Hotel pilot.
Fur the ‘More has supported The Frederick Center since 2023 as its charity of choice. The Center supports LGBTQ+ youth in and around Frederick, Maryland. Attendees raised more than $25,000 for it in both 2025 and 2026, the convention posted.
On Saturday, the convention’s fursuit parade, which circled the block the hotel sits on, overlapped and mingled with some people heading to the third No Kings protest, whose meetup point was a few blocks west of the venue in downtown Baltimore. 392 fursuiters who participated in the parade, according to the convention.
Fur the ‘More will return next year from March 19 to 21. Kitra told the members of the Telegram channel that the hotel contract was for two more years (three in total).

Seems like the same person is still the chair of the convention too even 13 years later.
Kage blurting out "remember you wanted this" at the end of their first year seems to have been far truer than he realized.
